Best Scanner w/Lots of built in memory
November 5, 2008
Reviewer: Michael O. from Carmel, ID
It took a little bit of figuring out at 1st, but know our warehouse knows how to use it and inturn the CipherLab 8001 is saving us about 6 hours a week compared to before we had it. We've been using it now for 4 months, not one problem yet.

Wow, powerful batch scanner

Nothing out there beat this thing on price and features. You can load a TON of data to it and export it out. We import the data into QuickBooks and the 8000 by cipherlab makes it very easy.

4 Stars, Works great but not customizable
July 3, 2008
Reviewer: Kristin W. from Poway, CA
I bought this thinking it was a PDA but its not. It has a lot of memory though and after messign around with it found that it works perfectly for our warehouse. If you want to do major customization then you'll need to know a C+ programmer but I just exported the data out to a text file and was able to get everything I needed, probably easier then with a PDA. I am very happy with the purchase, all in all its a very nice batch scanner.

Perfect for any application
February 13, 2008
Reviewer: Larry R. from Boston, MA United States
The CipherLab 8000 and 8001 scanners can be used for asset tracking, shipping and receiving, inventory, and pretty much anything else that uses a barcode. I bought the 8001 which has the rechargeable battery. Saves a ton of time and makes tracking my items a breeze. Definitely gets 5 stars.

CipherLab 8001 makes Inventory Easy and Fast
February 13, 2008
Reviewer: J. Taft from Santa Ana, CA United States
I picked up two of these CipherLab 8001s and it has made inventory so simple. We used to shut down our business for half a day and have all our employees hand count inventory but with the CipherLab 8001 (its the same as the 8000 but has a rechargeable battery instead of AA batteries) only one of our warehouse employees does a full inventory count in 2 hours. Shipping only took 2 days instead of a week which was what I was expecting. Its really easy to use too. Just put the scanner into the cradle and press the import button on the software and it imports a csv file. Because its a csv file we can import into our Quickbooks accounting software, our website, and all our other sales channels to give us almost real time inventory. The CipherLab 8001 is a must have. Recommended ++++++++++++++

Best Batch Scanner I've Used
February 13, 2008
Reviewer: Mike Thompson from St. Louis, MO
This was such a great find. I bought one of these about a month ago and now I've bought 4 more. The batch update to the PC is very simple and is now vital to our inventory management.
