The BCM3417 enables printing of PDF417 symbols on any HP-PCL compatible laser printers in ANY platform or program environment.  By using PDF417 symbols the user can store more than 1,000 characters of data in one symbol.  BCM3417 is a universal bar code print module which allows mainframe, Unix, Windows or other systems users to easily convert alpha-numeric data to print as bar code data.

With the printer now PDF417 bar code capable, it becomes possible to print bar codes from any host system program without the need to integrate additional or new software. The BCM3417 offers the PDF417 bar code (2D) format along with other linear bar code symbologies.

When using the bar code print module attached to a conventional PC printer, users can economically implement the printing of bar codes from within your regular software. You can now implement bar codes without having to learn a totally new bar code software program.  Just add bar codes to existing programs.
